I found Dan Appleman's books incredibly useful and insightful when I was working in Visual Basic Classic (VB6). The same when I moved to Java and the trend continues as I've moved to Salesforce. I picked up something I used at work in chapter 1.

THE must have book for new Salesforce developers. It is the first book you read, and you will keep going back to it. I recommend a paper copy v. the kindle personally. I went with the e-book, and ended up ordering a second paperback version.

Easy to understand

Great book which entirely lives up to the title. This book makes learning antibiotics a breeze. Antibiotics are some of the hardest drugs to learn, at least they were for me and I read through this book and felt much more confident going into my pharmacology exam. This book was only recommended for my course and I am glad I bought it and studied it. Easy to read and understand and it wasn't too terribly lengthy. The book is organized based upon classes of antibiotics and then goes into details on the specifics and what each is used to treat. It breaks the treatment into Great for, okay for and not good for so that you can sort of organize them in your head. Overall, great read and I feel that this book is a must have for any pharmacy class that requires and in depth knowledge of antibiotics.

I'm understanding antibiotics much better thanks to this book. I have a paperback copy and the kindle version.

Problems with the kindle app/ version.

1) The index is useless. Chapter 2 and one letter?? And you can't go to the chapter from the index. Very bad for a wiring reference

2) there is a weird quirk where a number 5 is substituted for an =. Example mic 5 2 .

I would love to be able to use this as a work reference, but the index problem prohibits this.

Awesome review of antibiotics.

As you know, there can be down time on the wards. Book fits easily into white coat pocket. Answers the questions you want to know: differences between drugs within classes; common and important adverse reactions; when to use one antibiotic over another.

He is also an Adjunct Professor at IE Business School in Madrid, where he teaches Mindful Leadership Practices.

This volume brings together a group of international scholars to analyze the globalized networks of Indian cinema. It provides a critique of a common scholarly tendency in the field of popular cinema of defining Indian films in terms of their modernity and desire for nationhood. Bollyworld argues that Indian cinema cannot be understood in terms of this national paradigm, and must be more properly described as a field of visual and cultural production that interlinks sites as diverse as the cosmopolitan city of Bombay, the provincial region of Maharashtra, and countries such as Nigeria, Germany, South Africa and the United Kingdom.

The twelve essays track the intra-national and trans-national movements of Bollywood cinema. Divided into three sections, the first discusses the technology and aesthetics of India's commercial cinema as it developed in the period that spans the silents from 1913 to the advent of the talkies in 1931.

The second section studies these films as 'local', 'intertextual' manifestations of globalization and highlights the changes in post-liberalization cinema. Against the backdrop of economic liberalization, the institutionalization of multiculturalism and a strong voice of migrant Indian populations, the third section focuses on the overseas reception of Indian films.
